Conference Announces Vanarama As New League Sponsor
The Football Conference has announced a brand-new three-year sponsorship deal with internet van rental provider Vanarama. The Conference had been searching for a new sponsor for its three divisions ever since the previous deal with the online payments provider Skrill ended.
The partnership was introduced in the presence of member clubs and will see the commercial vehicle specialists take over the naming rights for all 1,476 games a season throughout the three divisions in 2014-15. The new deal will see the competition’s traditional names brought back, with the three divisions now known as the Vanarama Conference, Vanarama Conference North and Vanarama Conference South.
Vanarama join Premier League sponsors, Barclays Bank plc and Football League sponsors Sky Bet as one of the top three title partners of English football.
Brian Lee, Chairman of the Football Conference said: “I am sure I speak for the whole of the Football Conference family, in welcoming such a competitive and innovative brand as Vanarama, to become our new Title Sponsor”.
The opening fixture of the new Conference season kick-off on Saturday, 9 August when Bristol Rovers host Grimsby Town live on BT Sport.
