Mark Phillips Returns on Loan

Centre-half Mark Phillips has re-signed for Aldershot Town on a one month loan from AFC Wimbledon.

The 32 year-old helped The Shots secure their Football Conference Premier safety when he made seven impressive appearances in his original loan spell at the end of last season.

Phillips joined Millwall in July 2000 as a youth player, and first appeared with the senior team in September 2001. However, frequent injuries saw him make only 67 league appearances during his seven years at the club, where he scored just once in a game against Sheffield United. Millwall released him the end of the 2007–08 season.

Phillips moved on to Brentford playing for manager Andy Scott, when they won the 2008-09 League Two championship. He was released by Brentford on 11 May 2010 and signed a two-year contract Southend United.

6`2” Phillips made total of 114 appearances for The Shrimpers and was named Player of the year in the 2011-12 Season. He joined AFC Wimbledon in the summer and made four appearances for The Dons this seaon before re-joining The Shots today.
