National League North Betting Preview Saturday 4th November 2017

Our Vanarama National League North Betting Preview sees some very important match-ups as we take a look at the key fixtures taking place this weekend.

Bradford PA vs Blyth SpartansLive Game Odds
Bradford PA are back at the Horsfall Stadium on Saturday for this 1pm kick off. The side from West Yorkshire have hit the buffers recently and have failed to win any of their last five matches. As a result of this winless sequence, they’ve been priced as the outsider for this tie at 7/4 with Boylesports .

The wind affected their performance in their recent 2-1 defeat here against league leaders Salford but there was plenty of encouragement during that performance. They’ve netted in each of their last eight National League North matches and Over 2.5 goals is priced at 4/7 with Bet365.

Blyth Spartans have been excellent recently and are challenging at the top of the table. They’ve won three of their last four matches and scored 13 times during that sequence and could be a real threat. The bookmakers are very wary of the visitors here and Betfred have priced them up at 6/5.

Darlington vs BrackleyLive Game Odds
It’s been a mixed season for Darlington as they sit in mid-table having netted 22 times whilst conceding the same amount. They have been made the 17/10 outsiders here with Paddy Power and their home form is very impressive with just a single defeat in eight matches. In the North East, they’ve been excellent but their form on the road has held them back.

Brackley sit in 4th and look like a genuine contender for a play-off place but they need to rectify their away form with just one success in five attempts. They remain unbeaten in three of those matches and they will be hoping to salvage at least a point from this game. A draw is 11/5 with Boylesports .

Brackley have been involved in some very entertaining matches recently and each of their last four matches has seen three or more goals featured. Over 2.5 Goals is 4/5 with Bet365 to land once again here.

Leamington vs BostonLive Game Odds
Leamington have hit a decent patch of form which has helped lift them away from the danger zone and put some breathing space between themselves and the bottom three. They’ve won two of their last three matches in front of their own fans including victories over Bradford PA and North Ferriby and are priced at 11/10 with Betfred.

Boston have suffered a season of struggle so far and are below the dreaded dotted line. They come here off the back of four consecutive defeats and have netted just 19 times so far this season. They are 2/1 with Bet365 to pull off a huge shock here and collect their first point on the road this season.

The hosts have netted seven times in their last three matches at home and they have suddenly found their shooting boots. They are likely to net a few here and it’s 2/1 with Boylesports for Leamington to Win & Over 2.5 Goals in the game.

Nuneaton vs SpennymoorLive Game Odds
Nuneaton are conceding far too many goals this season and that’s the reason for their lowly position in the National League North this season. They are close to averaging two goals conceded per game and they need to tighten up if they are to remain in the division. They are the outsiders for this tie and have been priced at 2/1 for success with Betfred.

They have started scoring in front of their own fans and recently beat Stockport 3-0 here. They’ve netted six times in their last three matches here and this should be another entertaining affair. Over 2.5 goals is 6/10 with Boylesports in this affair.

Spennymoor are riding high at the top of the table and have a decent record on the road. They’re unbeaten in four of their last five matches in their travels and should be very competitive here against the struggling side. They have been installed at 11/10 favourites with Paddy Power.

Salford City vs AlfretonLive Game Odds
Salford are sitting pretty at the top of the table following a hard fought victory against Boston on Halloween. That was their third consecutive victory in the division and they start today a point above 2nd place Harrogate with a seven point gap on third placed Blyth Spartans. They are a short price for this home match and can be backed at 4/9 with Betfred.

Alfreton are very average and sit in mid-table following an inconsistent run of results. They’ve lost three of four games in the National League North but did pick up a surprise victory at Tamworth a few weeks back. It’s 15/4 with Bet365 for them to grab an unexpected point against the leaders here.

Salford have only conceded 13 goals throughout the entire campaign but six of those have arrived in the last four matches and their defence is perhaps a little vulnerable here. Both Teams to Score is 8/11 with Paddy Power.

Southport vs North FerribyLive Game Odds
Southport have lifted the gloom recently since Kevin Davies took over in Merseyside. They have picked up two draws in their last five games to end a losing run and the former Bolton striker is hoping his first victory in the dugout can come against bottom club North Ferriby. They are short 4/7 with Boylesports to get the maximum points here.

The visitors have scored just seven goals all season and sit rock-bottom of the table. They’ve netted just two goals in their last four away games and are unlikely to offer too much threat to the hosts. Under 2.5 Goals is priced at 5/4 with Paddy Power.

It’s not all doom and gloom for the visitors who have claimed their only victory this season on their travels and could grab something from this tie. They are 3/1 with Betfred to grab a point here by the seaside.

Stockport vs FC United of ManchesterLive Game Odds
A Mancunian derby taking place on Saturday afternoon with Stockport hoping to improve on their inconsistent recent run by securing another three points. A victory could potentially propel them into the play-offs and they are still very much in contention at this early stage of the campaign. They are 6/10 with Boylesports to claim all three points for the second consecutive time in this fixture.

There are always plenty of goals between these sides when they meet and previous results include 3-3, 2-1 and 1-2. Both sides have been in excellent goalscoring form recently and the 6/4 for Over 3.5 goals in this fixtures looks incredibly tempting.

FC United of Manchester are fairly insipid on the road and have lost three of their last five matches on their travels however they are occasionally capable of a surprise. They beat York 2-0 earlier in the season and if you fancy them to do the same again, they are a huge 4/1 with Betfred to upset the odds.

York vs Curzon AshtonLive Game Odds
These two sides are both on the edge of the top seven and hoping to clinch a play-off position by collecting maximum points here. Bootham Crescent has seen mixed fortunes so far with three wins from eight but they slipped up against Tamworth last time out. They’ve already beaten Nuneaton, Brackley and Stockport and will be hoping to do the same again here. Despite this inconsistent string of results, they are 8/15 favourites with Betfred.

Curzon Ashton have won six times so far this season but only one of those successes has come on the road. They are unbeaten in three of their last four matches outside of the North West and they’ll be hoping to return west with another point at least. They are 11/4 with Paddy Power to secure a draw here.

These two sides drew 1-1 in their only previous meeting and they’ve both been scoring plenty of goals recently. Both Teams to Score is priced at 4/6 with Boylesports.
