Shots Triallists Given Deals 

After impressing Andy Scott in pre-season triallists Dan Thomas and Tom Derry have signed for Vanarama Conference club Aldershot Town on non-contract deals.

Goalkeeper Dan Thomas, was with Southern League Premier Division side Poole Town last season.

The 22-year-old started out with AFC Bournemouth, making four senior appearances for the club as well as having spells on loan with non league Dorchester Town, Welling United and AFC Totton.

After being released by the Cherries in the summer of 2012, Thomas signed for Conference South outfit Havant & Waterlooville, playing 14 times over the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, he then on moved to Poole Town, where he played 27 games in the Calor Southern Premier Division in 2013-14.

Also earning a deal is 19-year-old Tom Derry, who began his career with Charlton Athletic. He joined the Development Squad at Gillingham in August 2013 following his release from Charlton.

Derry spent much of last season playing in the Conference South, including a successful three-month loan spell with Chelmsford City. The young forward made sixteen appearances for The Clarets, scoring two goals and being named the Supporters Club Player of the Month for both August and October.

He then joined Chelmsford`s league rivals Eastbourne Borough on loan in December, where he played a further eight times in the Conference South.
