Aldershot Town Enter Administration

It was announced today that crisis club Aldershot Town have entered administration under a week since they were relegated from League Two. The club’s dangerous financial state is bringing about growing concern and players have still not been paid their wages for April.

For supporters of The Shots this news must bring concerns of a repeat of the financial disaster they encountered in 1992, when the club was wound up in the High Court on March 25th 1992 and were required to resign from the Football League.

The club is now within the hands of Quantuma Restructuring who have been appointed as joint-administrators. A statement from Quantuma read: “Carl Stuart Jackson and Paul Anthony Goddard of Quantuma Restructuring were formally appointed as joint administrators of Aldershot Town F.C. (1992) Limited in the High Court.

“Quantuma are currently reviewing the club’s financial affairs and will release further details shortly.”
