Football Betting Tips – Monday 9th February 2015
One game in the Conference South has caught my eye this evening, with both teams looking to get points on the board for very different reasons.
Farnborough v Boreham Wood - Conference South
Spencer Day’s Farnborough take on second place Boreham Wood at the Paddy Power Park in the Conference South this evening. The Yellows have lost their last four league games, all played away from home and conceded thirteen goals. They now face a difficult game against Ian Allinson’s side who sit in second place, after being knocked off top spot following Bromley’s win on the weekend over Staines Town.
Boreham Wood will be looking to bounce back following two defeats in a row against fellow promotion hopefuls Basingstoke and Farnborough. Victory tonight would return them to the top of the league table.
Former Farnborough playmaker Daryl McMahon has recently been added to the Boreham Wood team and they are fast becoming one of the best footballing sides within the Conference South. The Paddy Power Park pitch should suit the wood’s style of play and although I think Farnborough are better than their league position suggests they could be in for a backlash as Boreham Wood look to put their resent results behind them.
The Bet: There is not much value in just backing the straight win here at around 1/2 with most bookies, so I’m going for Boreham Wood to win 2-0 at 8/1 and 3-0 at 11/1 with 888Sport.
