New Stadium Plan For Basingstoke Town

Blue Square Conference South side Basingstoke Town Football Club have unveiled plans to relocate to a new 5,000 capacity community stadium. The ambitious plans will see the new stadium funded by the development of the club’s current Camrose home.

The new ground will be on land to the west of the Hilton Basingstoke hotel and will have the potential to expand to current League One standards.

People who are interested in taking a look at Basingstoke Town’s relocation plans are being invited to attend public exhibitions later this month. A leaflet explaining what the club’s plans are will be delivered this week to local residents around both sites.

Creation of all weather training facilities which will be available for community use are also included in the plans.

The plans will be on display at the Camrose Social Club on Wednesday, 14th December and in the Eastrop area on Thursday, 15th December at St Mary’s Church Hall, Goat Lane between noon and 8pm.

Club chairman Rafi Razzak said: “I think these plans represent an exciting future, not just for the club but for the whole town.”
