Phil Brazier Leaves Marine AFC

Following a meeting at the Arriva Stadium with chairman Paul Leary and vice-chairman Dave McMillan, Marine AFC have announced the departure of manager Phil Brazier by mutual consent.

The Evo-Stik Premier Division club finished just above the relegation zone in twentieth place after a disappointing run of results since the turn of the year. Early exits in both this seasons FA Trophy and FA Cup competitions also added to the club’s woes.

Brazier had previously served as player and assistant-manager at Marine under Kevin Lynch for four seasons. He was appointed manager last summer in what was his first managerial post.

Unfortunately results haven’t been what he or the club would have wanted this season. Leary told the clubs website: “I would like to thank Phil and his backroom staff for the hard work that they put in trying to do their best for Marine Football Club.”

Marine now move on and start planning for the next season and will be looking to appoint a new manager in the next few weeks.
